Irish songstress Sinead O’Connor outdid Kim Kardashian with her most recent move: she is getting a divorce from her husband after just 16 days of marriage!
O’Connor announced today that she will end her marriage to Barry Herridge because of the disapproval of his family and friends, according to the BBC.
The singer said they “made a mistake rushing into getting married,” but are parting “amicably.” She asked that the media respect her soon-to-be ex’s privacy.
On her blog, O’Connor blamed “certain people in [her] husband’s life.” She also cited their wedding night, on which she dragged him around in search of marijuana, as a source of their relationship issues.
