“Modern Family” was the highest rated show on Wednesday with 11.3 million viewers and a 4.5 rating, but ABC finished third for the night as 10 p.m. legal drama “The Whole Truth” continued to gasp for viewers; the show was last with 4.5 million viewers and a 1.4 rating, pulling the net’s average steeply down for the night.
“Cougar Town” trended up from last week, with a 3.1 rating and 7.2 million viewers. At 8 p.m. “The Middle” averaged a 2.4 rating and 8 million viewers; “Better with You” pulled a 2.3 and 6.8 million.
“Undercovers” is officially a bomb. After starting very slowly, it’s descended into the realm of sure-cancellation. The show averaged a 1.5 rating and 6.2 million viewers. “Law and Order: SVU” drew a 2.5 rating and 8.6 million viewers, and “Law and Order: LA” led at 10 p.m. with a 2.4 rating and 8.2 million viewers.
Fox didn’t win any hour of the night, but its consistency from “Hell’s Kitchen” earned it the lead fro the night; show earned a 3.1 rating and 6.5 million viewers from 8-10.
CBS was second for the night with “Survivor: Nicaragua” leading at 8 with a 3.6 and 11.8 million viewers, and “Criminal Minds” a close second at 9 with a 3.5 rating and 13.7 million. “The Defenders” was second at 10 with a 2.1 rating and 9.2 million viewers.
The big question now–which show is cancelled next: “The Whole Truth” or “Undercovers?”
